Your First Visit to the FAAWC

Your first visit to the Foot and Ankle Wellness Center establishes the foundation of our relationship with you. Your visit begins with a warm greeting by our friendly front office staff who will confirm that you have completed all necessary sections of your online patient portal. (You will receive a portal activation code when you schedule your first appointment with us.) You can also print the necessary forms at home and bring them completed to your appointment.

Now, you can relax in our comfortable waiting room while surfing on our guest WiFi.

When it’s time for your appointment, our medical assistants will guide you to one of our state-of-the-art treatment rooms where they will confirm your important information such as your medical history, medications and allergies, and information about your current foot and ankle concerns. Before meeting your provider, our licensed medical team will often take digital X-rays in order to assist in your diagnosis.

Next, your FAAWC medical provider will meet with you and listen carefully to your symptoms. After a thorough examination of both your feet and ankles, we will explain your diagnosis and describe all appropriate treatment options. Together, we will plan a course of action that will relieve your foot and ankle pain quickly and get you back to normal activities as soon as possible. Many treatments can be performed on the same day as your first appointment.

After you’ve seen your provider, you will be directed back to the front check-out desk where our staff will complete your visit by collecting any copays or service fees, discussing payment options and scheduling any necessary follow-up visits. If you have additional questions or concerns after your first visit, we invite you to send a direct message to your provider through your patient portal. You may also call the FAAWC medical question line (740.363.4373, option 3) during business hours and a staff member will get you the answers you need.

Cash Pricing for Foot and Ankle Services

Foot & Ankle Wellness Center and Central Ohio Physical Therapy has cash pricing for most of our common services for people who are not submitting their medical claims to insurance. We want you to have a general idea of the costs associated with your visit. Please call our office at 740.363.4373 opt 2 to get an estimated cost.

Ask about discounts when you purchase a treatment package or pay prior to treatment. Depending on your condition the doctor may order one or multiple treatment options.

*PLEASE NOTE*

Our cash fees do not represent insurance allowed amounts as each carrier ‘assigns’ a different amount to each service. Therefore, the cash fees provided are for patients who do not have insurance or choose to forego submitting claims to their insurance.
